Using Console with a Icom R8600.
Work really well together, but it takes, for me, a little getting used to the locked
radio screen.

Is there any present way of accessing the scanning functions that the radio has while
being controlled by Console ?

Might it be possible to add this feature ...

In Servers, a graphic/world map showing the Servers that are available, and their locations ?

If so, then might it be possible to incorporate in the map where by merely clicking
on a e.g., a green pin (showing that that particular Server is available) going directly to it and using ?

Not important, but if someone could explain the purpose, and usage, of:

Low Shelf
High Shelf
and the Freq., Gain, and Slope options for, would be appreciative.

and the:

25 Hz HPF option box

I'm assuming the Enable box, if not checked, takes the Equalizer ...

Might it be possible, or even good idea, some time in the future to add
a simple slider to the screen to vary the audio emphasis between Bass and Treble ?

I know about the Equalizer already implemented, but an ever-present simple
slider would be (also) useful.

Other than, I guess, distorted audio, or perhaps a distorted Spectrum, what do you
experts use as your criteria for excessive RF Gain ?

Is the message that (sometimes) appears an adequate indication of (always) ?

I'm always playing around with the RF Gain Settings.
It would, I think, be a lot easier if it was implemented as a Slider. Perhaps an option for either way ?
