I installed it and played a bit. this is what I have:
(1) My first qso, after a minute or two of sending, mrp40 just stops. I have to hit "clear" then start typing again and it will only send a word or two until I hit "clear" again. over and over.
(2) The receiving station tells me they hear "pops" in my keying.
The waveform scope on the FDM does show the keying "flattopping" but I cant seem to adjust the audio to get a better waveform.

Hi
Yes I did....
You have to fiddle some with the parameters, sampling rate and tone.

Hi
For CWType I use a VAC at 48000 and the setting I changed are:
Real output sampling rate 48000
Tone,HZ 2600
Rise/decay time 5 ms.

Where are these settings located?

Rise/decay time

Thank you. Still have question.
The lowest decay is 10ms on the slider
and I still do not see "real output sampling rate"

Ooooo, you are using "cwtype" and my questions are about MSRP40.
I just tried cwtpe with those settings, the output is cleaner than MSRP40.
Seems like I cant adjust the output amplitude (of msrp40) to get an acceptable cw waveform without pops.

Issues with CWtype:
I am trying to use (trial version V2.30) CWTYPE via soundcard interface and when I send (lets say cq cq cq de n2eik), after two "cq"'s the program send three random letters. so to say: I type "cq cq cq de n2eik", the program sends "cq cq yai" end.
Any help would be welcomed.

Hi
try setting ILS to a higher value (if using the 48000 samples)try 35. That will solve the lost letters.
Try longer Rise/decay in the setup, sound card...

ILS? Where and what is that?

I know this problem has been resolved by increasing VOX, but for 2021 I really must get a decent CW interface working.
I'm fed up with SSB and want to get back to the 'true mode'.
