Click Close Button while radio still playing

This very occasionally seems to freeze Console, no crash dump.
RSP1A (but FDM-S2 possibly OK?)
Just upgraded 3.0.15 to 3.0.24.
Seem to recall this from last year too.

Nothing to get excited about, especially with my Win7 and frequent low resources.
Just wondered if others had come across this?

I always stop the radio before closing the Console, I always feel that is the correct thing to do.
I think it is a question of did Simon expect us the close the Console without first stopping the radio?

Could be the reason a select few SDRC Servers continually get locked up? i.e. Users hitting the X in upper right versus hitting the stop button, then hitting the 'X'?
Could it be radio specific maybe?

Fenu-Radio is always locked up for example, as it is right now.
It's currently running Version 3.0.17 build 1686 which is a little out of date.
I believe Simon corrected that over a year ago when I brought it to his attention. Somehow that server and a few others continually get stuck. They allow you
to connect, but nothing happens.

Thanks for the feedback. Happy to leave it at that :)

Maybe it needs for Console to gracefully stop the radio before closing the program when the 'X' is used? Or is using stop/quit whatever instead of 'X' something windows users should have learnt to do a long time ago?

"Or is using stop/quit whatever instead of 'X' something windows users should have learnt to do a long time ago?"

Why should we deprive ourselves of a basic convenience?
Close button, System menu Close item, Alt/F4 are all equivalent, as far as I can tell from MS docs.
Application programmer can check "whatever" during File menu Close, or any of the System closing events (if I'm not mistaken).
Please don't make excuses for developers.

Is there a graceful way to get SDR-Radio working again if I hit the X without stopping the radio or do I have to uninstall the program and re-install it again, and again? I tried restart and when that didn't work I shut down the computer and SDR-Radio is still locked up. Thanks.

But we are talking about stopping the radio before closing the program aren't we?
I liken it to driving a car down a road and getting out of it before coming to a halt, you just don't do it. Why would you?
You stop the car and then get out.

That may be true, but, Microsoft has made it amazingly difficult to short circuit ALL the various ways to end a program.
