V3.1 Beacon Sync stability issue
Posted: Mon Aug 02, 2021 5:34 pm
Hello Simon,
With V3.1, the stability of the QO-100 Beacon Synchronization seems to be noticeably lower than it has been with V3.0.28. While V3.0.28 (and before) showed a sync stability in the order of 1-2Hz, the stabilization is jumping around by up to 10Hz and more with V3.1 build 2319.
The screenshots below show some Spectrum Lab AF waterfalls of a weak – but stable - beacon-spurious at 10.489.562.500. With V3.0.28, the signal jitter is around 1Hz, regardless of the Console Beacon Sync being active or not. With V3.1, the jitter visibly increases when the Beacon Sync is engaged. (Sreenshots taken with 3.0.28 and 3.1 within some minutes)
The instablity is also visible in the Geostationary Satellite Beacon view. The issue is reproducible and there were no signs of someone disturbing the beacon while I observed the issue.
