File Structure Question

Hello,

This really isn't important.
It's just asking for someone to educate me a bit,
and my desire to learn a bit more on File structures, etc.

I have been using the latest version, 3.1 with
CSVUserList Browser talking to it.
They really work well together; a nice combination.

So, I thought I would play around with the Beta version.
Really nice that it has Bands, and other goodies.

I created a brand new "New Folder" on my desktop.
Absolutely new and clean.

I then extracted the Beta version into it.

Works fine.
But, I was really surprised to see that it also had
CSVULB hooked to it. It, somehow, "absorbed" CSVULB, and the COM settings, etc.
from somewhere.

Question: I had thought that 100 % of the download would be in the new Folder
I created just for this Beta.

How did it know to grab CSVULB, and from where ?

How does the program "know" to get CSVULB, and the COM settings, etc ?
Isn't it constrained totally to what I place in my New Folder that I just created ?

I always have a little problem with Folder structure, etc., so would like to understand what is actually
happening here.

Thanks, and best regards,
Bob

It's maaaaaagic!

Actually, it is 100% expected behavior given the Windows enforced read only "program files" storage folders for program executable files, the per user storage in the registry and the user's appdata folder. (That's %appdata% for a shortcut.) Your two saved versions access precisely the same saved user configuration information and stored data.
