Bug in last two Betas
Posted: Mon May 08, 2023 11:17 pm
While using the Airspy on Super Station #1, I get a rapid pulsing (ticking) sound when RXing a signal thats not near the center of bandscope. This occurs ONLY when operating at bandwidth of 384 thru 912 kHz. Happens on two different client laptops. When used locally, ie running SDRC on the laptop that hosts Super Station #1, it doesn't happen.
Up in man cave above barn where Super Station #4 resides, writing this post... and Airspy HF discovery (on 160M antenna) exhibits the same thing via server.
Just noticed it in the past day or so. Something in the latest build? Super Station #1 is running 2958 and Super Station #2 is running 2960.
Before I hit send...
Walked over to Super Station #2 (running 2848) and it does not have the issue. Something changed in the server portion of SDRC in the last few beta updates.
See attached video to hear and see what the noise is. Audio equalizer on or off has no effect on the problem.
Edit 21:56 EDT
Updated Super Station #1 to v3.3 build 2960, issue is still there. Easy to hear if you tune into a carrier. Select SSB and tune into an AM BC station and place the carrier in the passband. Then right click to move the active frrequency to one side or the other and the further awayfrom center, the louder it becomes.
