Scanner

Hello, everyone.

This question is being posted here because I am interested in the answer and also to permit further testing of Simon's new discussion board.

We all know that Simon intends to implement a scanner feature at some point in the future, hopefully in 2021. Given that this may happen, I wonder what the weakest link in scanning speed is?

Is it the software itself (no matter who implements it, SDRC, SDRUno, or whoever), the receiver hardware, or the computer?

I know that certainly it is ultimately a combination of all three that impact performance, but which is MOST impactful?

I have to admit that I like using SDRC a lot! I use it with my Perseus and Elad S2.

I just recently purchased an RSP DX, primarily for VHF/UHF. Since I want to scan specific channels (frequencies) a scanning capability would be awesome. At the moment I use uno for the ability to scan, but look forward to the day that SDRC can perform this function.

Is there a specific time line for scanner implementation?

Thank you Simon for a magnificent tool. It is truly a joy to use.
