It's all about the Software

Hi together,

while receiving signals from QO-100 and I open another programm the audio gets distored for a few seconds, espsecially when the software gets startet.

I am using the SDR Console with a RSP1A SDR and a notebook with Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2520M CPU @ 2.50GHz and 8,00 GB RAM. The SDR Console uses up to 45% of the CPU power. From 70-80% CPU load the distortion starts.

I have got the same issue not so heavy with a PC with Intel(R) Core(TM) I7-940 CPU @ 2,93GHZ and 20,00 GB RAM.The SDR Console uses only up to 15% of the CPU power.

Have you got any idea what the problem could be ?

I assume that the notebook is sometimes overloaded with the power of SDR Console and starting applications which leads into the audio issue.

That's a lot of CPU. please attach a screenshot while receiving, I'm guessing you have a wide receive bandwidth and possibly enhanced resolution.
