I am using W7 for ages to run my Lime SDR QO100 station. Never issues...

Today it came with a dialog box when trying to start:

SDR Console.exe - Entry point not found

"The procedue entry point GetSystemTimePreciseAsFileTime could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."

H E L P !!!!!!!!

(I already tried downloading the latest version, was running 3.2 before, no change, won't start)

H E L P !!!!

A probable fix is upgrade Win 7 to Win 10. Indeed, that kernel entrypoint does not exist for Windows 7. I don't know how badly Simon needs it for SDRC. We can ask.

If 3.2 also won't start then this is very odd. SDR Console etc. don't call GetSystemTimePreciseAsFileTime(), so i wonder whether it's some other library that has been inadvertently updated?

I really should drop W7 support.

Maybe it is something he is running along with SDRC?

W7 IS THE ONLY RELIABLE WINDOWS IF YOU HAVE COMPUTERS AT MOUNTAINTOP LOCATIONS....

Moving to W10 is no option. I do not want/need updates, just want my radioo to keep working. Microsoft leave me alone !!!!

I have nothing but issues with unwanted driver deleting/destroying updates on my W10 and W11 machines. All fine when you sit next to the computer but not when it is 3000 km away...

I will try installing SDR 3.2

SDR transceivers are great but if you cannot rely on the OS software they just stop working one day after another

I tried 3.2

It does not start. So I have no more AO100 station as the mini Lime SDR drivers refuse to work on my W11 system. They worked like a charm for two years on my W7 machine until this....

So done with microsoft. Luckily my SunSDR runs on Linux.

Managed to get the Mini Lime working on W11. It appears you need the older FTDI 1.3 driver for the D3XX devices. With 1.4 driver SDR cosoled oes not see the Lime.
Now hoping that stupid w11 does not decide to update this driver unasked for....

So fed up with Microsoft....
