Broadcast FM mode button marked "BCFM"

Hi.
There has been a few questions and some confusion about the broadcast FM mode button marking (BFM).
One simple solution could be to rename it to "BCFM" or "BC-FM".
For old scared SDRC users it does not make any difference as we know the meaning of "BFM", but for the occasional and the new user it would be more intuitive.
Just a suggestion. It is not very important, but would perhaps reduce some of the confusion and avoid a few questions in the forum.
Maybe it is more work than just alter the marking of the mode button for Simon. Maybe not. It could be implemented at the same time as some other cosmetic updates are implemented, maybe.

What else would "BFM" be? ("Big (censored) Monkey?")

Hi Joanne.
Everyone might not constitute as lively imagination as you show.
In this context most would maybe associate a slightly different vocabulary.
"Broad" FM could for instance be one interpretation that would fall close. Especially when there is a mode button named "NFM".
I recall that the questions raised in the forum about these buttons were just such an interpretation.
And remember, this was just an humble idea and proposal.

BC-FM is a good call, I think... though a toll-tip does give the full description anyway.

What about this?

Looks excellent to me.
There should be ambiguities nor problem to interpret.
Goes well in hand with the naming of the "Broadcast FM" field in the "Receive" tab.

I have found the problem has been with people assuming WFM was FM used on the broadcast bands. That was always the abbreviated term used on receivers back in the day, 40 odd years ago. I still have working equipment where they are marked as such. I think it is only in relatively recent times that it has taken on another meaning.
