USB-relay control via server

Hi Simon.
I know this has been asked before in the old forum.
Would it be possible to implement some kind of USB-relay control via the server in order to be able to switch e.g. between different antennas?
This would have been a most useful feature when running remote radios and having different antennas e.g. Beverage antennas in different directions for MW DX'ing.
I have started to look at solutions using a RSP4 via a Web-interface, but it would be much neater to have in the SDR-console (server?) interface directly.

Hah - what could be done is support a USB relay board on the server from the Client, you could use it for whatever you want.
Technically quite easy. I have a two-relay and also an eight-relay board that can be used for this.
What's a RSP4? I can't find anything related using Google.

GM Simon.
Sorry if I used a home made abbreviation

I was referring to a Raspberry 4 (where I now have a brief idea on how to do it).
Yes, exactly what you describe is what would be very useful for selecting antennas on a remote location. I also have two and eight-relay HID-compatible boards, that work locally with SDRC.
Would be very appreciated and much more convenient than yet another S/W and box to do it.

Simon/Ingolf,
Can you post a link to those relay boards please. Sounds very interesting.

Simon.
Just give me a notice when you would like me to test this feature, please.
I have arrangements ready that would make it very quick and easy to try this feature out on a remote basis.
A swell feature now in MW-DX-season at it's top.
But, first have a good rest before Christmas.

Ingolf,
For now you'll have to use whatever other software is available. And this is another reason why I don't want to add support for remote transmit - all the extras that will be requested.

OK Simon.
I understand.
I will try to write something for a Raspberry 4 with an Web-interface to control the USB-relays.
Even it will be additional HW and one more S/W to use

A non optimal solution.
Have a nice Holiday Season!

Thanks for the hint Leon.
I will look at them as a quick solution even thou I have other USB relay boards at hand.
