MF Channel Markers

Playing around in the MF broadcast band, looking out for "winter DX", I'm often looking for weak carriers on Region 2 10 kHz channels and trying to ignore the 9 kHz carriers. That sounds easy to do visually, but does get a bit complicated as you change zoom and when the 9/10 spots are close together or coincide.

It might help a little if the spectrum frequency scale could sport little "pips" at the relevant 9 and 10 kHz intervals. A possible colour code could be green for the "home" region, red for "over the pond" and yellow for coincident assignments. This is not so much a request as a question whether something along these lines could be considered as part of some future "band plan" marking.

Thanks for reading.

Hi Paul.

I use the "Step" & "Snap" tuning feature for this. When chasing TA-stations I use 10 kHz for SAM (AM) and for non-TA-stations I use 9 kHz.
For SW you can use 5 kHz if you like.
For other modes you can set other values of the step parameter.

See attached screenshot.

With this there is no doubt about the TA and non-TA. Works fine.

Hi, Ingolf, thanks for that.
I can see that would help some, so will try it out more thoroughly.
