It's all about the Software

I don't think this got moved over from the email list but I submitted the below message back at the beginning of 2020 to the email list. I'm transplanting it here, if it hasn't been done already.

I saw this and instantly thought of SDR Console. Can a 3D spectrum and waterfall display option like this be added to SDR Console? See the YouTube link.






I guess it may not add much "informational value" to what SDR Console already does but if you could implement something like this for the spectrum and waterfall displays. . . Man O Man it would look SO AWESOME!!!!


Please consider something like this. It would put all other SDR software to shame. You would be a king among men. . . More than you already are.

Be good to have this in Console. I have cubase 11 Pro with basic Spectral layers but not pro version. Looks great, be fab for isolating Frequencies. Have a chat with Greg at Steinberg. https://new.steinberg.net/spectralayers/

After a lot of reading I now see how to generate real-time 3D displays, so maybe available late April.
