Re: RX888 MkI Recorded Frequency Discrepancies

Hi Simon, I've had another play with the MkI, and the problem has nothing to to do with the recordings, but it appears to be exactly the same sample rate discrepancy as discovered with the Perseus here: https://sdr-radio.groups.io/g/main/topic/perseus_tuning_problem/31273158?p=Created%2C%2C%2C20%2C1...

RX888 MkI Recorded Frequency Discrepancies

Hi Simon, RX888 support appears to have migrated to the groups.io forum of late, but I'll be a good boy and post this here :) I have both a MkI and a MkII RX888, and the latest SDRC releases have been superb for them both, but a few days ago I came across a problem with recordings made on the MkI, i...

Re: Using more than one RX888/RX666 with SDRC

Thanks for your input, Joanne. As for the PC challenge, it's probably a good job that I don't have "most computers", and that mine will be one of the last PCs standing, but I also don't envisage running both radios with a myriad of receivers - other than out of curiosity to see what the sy...

Using more than one RX888/RX666 with SDRC

It's been a long time in the making, but Oscar Steila has posted a new firmware and ExtIO in the NextGenSDR forum, which may solve the problem of not being able to use more than one RX888/666 at the same time. It enables the reading of the internal serial number of each radio, thereby allowing each ...

Add Range option to Scheduler?

Hi Simon, In the one-time recording setup dialog there is the wonderful "Range" option for choosing a smaller bandwidth to record, instead of the full receiver bandwidth, and I use this feature all the time. Can it also be included in the Scheduler options so that multiple recordings of di...

Re: Screenshot bug with second monitor

Same here. I've just been taking comparative screenshots of the same signal on a Perseus (screen 1) and RX-888 (screen 2) using v26: no problems. Switched to v27 to do the same thing with an RX-888MkII on screen 2 and all I can get from either is a screenshot of the desktop on screen 1 (not just the...

Re: Frequencies in I/Q recording are ~5.128 kHz low

Hi Simon, Is this a good time to bring up another display / recording quirk? When you set a center frequency for a recording and press the >l< button when an offset mode such as CW-U, LSB or Wide-U is in use, the display is centred on the middle of the bandwith filter, not the selected frequency. Th...

Re: New firmware for RX-888

Hi Simon,

Only the very strongest signals show up in the SW bands, nothing at all in the MW band - see attached.

New firmware for RX-888

For anyone interested, Franco Venturi has just released a new test firmware for the RX-888 on the other forum: https://groups.io/g/NextGenSDRs/message/215?reply=1 Out of curiosity I renamed it to BBRF103_SE as before, and it works very well in SDRC, with crash-free stop-starts and bandwidth changes ...
