Re: SDR lab test set
Airspy products are VERY good, no silly drivers to load, just plug n play if running W10 or W11. https://airspy.com/airspy-r2/ The RTL dongles, as cheap and tempting as they are, are a royal PIA to set up. I have an Airspy R2 on my Super Station #4 Server if you want to play. It's on a Diamond X-500...

Re: SDR Console can't find Air Spy HF+
Did you build a definition for the Airspy HF+? Each and every SDR that SDRC talks to has to have a unique definition specific to that individual (serial number) SDR. When upgrading SDRC, the definitions are saved and will work with the next upgraded version, providing you don't uninstall the whole S...

KA1GJU Super Station #1 Antenna Overhauled!
Super Station #1's antenna was getting progressively shorter and shorter with all the wind storms as of lately. I dropped it down and soldered the sections back together yesterday PM. Re shot the line up and over the Maple and Black Cherry trees in the cow pasture with the pneumatic tennis ball laun...

Re: 3.3 build 2870 - Waterfall "noise" while adjusting the brightness/contrast
Not seeing it here either. But mine is located out in the repeater shed +400' away from the operating laptop via SDRC Server. The RSP1A I have has been modified with copper foil sticky tape on the inside of the plastic box to reduce QRM from nearby sources. When located near the laptop, w/out an ant...

Re: can anyone help me with this bug? this only happens on SDR Console V3
It may be the action of SDRC, for it attemptsto eliminate or reduce the DC spike. I can watch it slowly remove the DC spike on my SDR-iq. It depends upon the operating bandwidth as to how fast it removes it. For "real" HF monitoring, do yourself a huge favor and buy a real SDR that's desig...

Re: Big Thanks To KA1GJU
I just wrote a newly updated PDF on how to use the remote servers. When I get back home and things settle down, I will post it in the files section. There’s one in there currently, but dated 2018(?) which I originally posted. Somebody added to it, but left all the credit to me. There’s been some min...

Re: 3.3 Crash
For starters, here's some questions:
SDR mfg and model is???
USB buss voltage dropping to low?
Using an external, powered USB hub?
Computer cooling issues?

Re: Leaving the SDRdx (and others) plugged in
I know my SDR-iq's goes absolutely bonkers when W10 decides to reboot after an update, even on a powered USB hub. The SDR-iq has relays in the bandpass filters, and they chatter fiercely for about 5 seconds with a short delay and then again. So far, nothing broken, but the contacts are probably bein...
Re: Lightning
Well, that sounds promising! Yes, the antenna is a 150' (46m) inverted L, 9:1 unun at feedpoint, +300' of 75ohm repurposed 1/2" (1.27cm) CATV hardline. Then the AMBC filter, 4 port multicoupler where 2 Airspy HF+ Discoveries, one SDR-iq and one RSP1A are connected to Super Station #2 server. Us...
Re: Lightning
I'm curious as to how the RSP dx is affected by AM BC stations? Do you see images of AM BC stations like I do on the RSP1A all the way up into 40M? ie We have a powerhouse station +45 miles away on 1030kHz, but unless I put my DIY AMBC filter in line, I can see/hear it on 2060, 3090, 4120kHz, etc Th...
