Sounds like this might be an RFI issue. Does the problem occur if you transmit into a dummy load, or at lower power levels, or on different bands?

Re: Spectrum not showing full bandwidth
Hello Jean
You saved the day again - many thanks!!
Second PC now working perfectly. Not sure how that slider got adjusted - probably finger trouble here.

Re: MODDING PLUTO
Hi Sigi I converted my Pluto to 40MHz reference input yesterday, taking care with a scope to check that the levels were correct (or at least the same as it was with the internal oscillator). However, I was about 500Hz off frequency when receiving a test signal on 144MHz. It seems there is an offset ...

Spectrum not showing full bandwidth
Hi All Now that my start/stop problem is solved (thanks excellent Forum!) I have another issue to bother you with. Same Pluto, but older lower performance PC. The issue is a spectrum/waterfall that has lower bandwidth than expected. As far as I can see all settings are the same as work on my higher ...

Re: Starting and Stopping the Pluto
Jean - many thanks!!!!
That solved the problem. I did indeed have the gain on Manual (probably was there by default, but can't be absolutely sure about that). With any of the other three options radio starts and stops perfectly.

Re: Starting and Stopping the Pluto
Yes, following that sequence worked fine. SDRC was running all the time on this occasion, and the unplug/plug in again Pluto operation meant that on restarting the radio it worked normally. When things are in the state that the radio does not restart properly, I did check that the Pluto is still the...

Re: Starting and Stopping the Pluto
No, it had the same problem as identified in the above posted screenshots ie all the noise had gone, after stopping and restarting the radio. Logfile was done at the time I saw the spectrum change. Again, recovery only by closing SDRC, unplugging radio, plugging it back in (ie physically with USB co...
