Re: External Radio tracking issue
Strange. When I start Win4Icom first, and then SDRC a few seconds later, Omnirig Rig 1 connects to SDRC and 7100 but Rig 2 does not, but it used to. I don't need them to both connect, but mention that as an aside. If I exit Win 4, the Omnirig connection to SDRC breaks. If I restart Win 4 while SDRC...

Re: External Radio tracking issue
The External Radio tracking (with Icon IC-7100) worked well for a few days. But it recently has not been working. The ? screen shows Omnirig (Version 1.20) Not Responding. Any trouble shooting tips? There are a few posts online from few years ago that talk about unreliable CAT control with IC7100 a...

Re: Anyone Using With An Icom R8600: Mode Displaying ?
Hi, Thanks for reply. That explains it. But, does that mean Console will "only" talk to my Icom R8600 with the radio in USB ? What do I do if I want to use Console and the radio, but I want, or need, AM or fm, or... ? Thanks again, Bob Hi again Bob No, don't worry. When using the R8600 co...

Re: Anyone Using With An Icom R8600: Mode Displaying ?
Hello Bob Please see here: https://www.sdr-radio.com/icom-r8600 In particular it states: "While in the I/Q mode, the mode is fixed to “USB,” and “AGC” is forcibly turned OFF. R8600 frequency shows the center frequency (same as SDR Console), not the current VFO frequency." So no, if it's in...

Re: Console V3.3 SDRPlay rsp1b
In Console I try to open a definition. SDRPlay is in the list but it just has V2 and V3. Any ideas? Hugh M0ACF This is correct. V3 and V2 refer to the API version. Just select V3. It will then say SDR Play API running (or some such). Press "OK". It then says "1 device found". Pr...

You might also want to take a look at this thread, and the referenced ARRL document about safe distances for RF exposure versus power input. https://www.reddit.com/r/amateurradio/comments/197z79n/mag_loop_rf_radiation_safetly/ Also just to reiterate the high voltages you may well generate on the loo...

Re: High Q Mag Loop using panadapter
I do have a couple of older Receiver Guard 2000 M's plugged into 2 RSPdx antenna inputs. Not sure how trustworthy they might be. The Win4Icom rig control app that I use also has a Spot utility I'm currently trying to figure out. It uses Club Spot.net. Win's Spectrum Scope is more basic than ADR Con...

Re: High Q Mag Loop using panadapter
I have 2 (or more) options to view active frequencies: 1) Use a second, broadband, loop antenna on my RSPdx for RX, along with sufficient protection on antenna inputs since I don't have adequate space to sufficiently separate the TX and RX antennas. Any filter/suppressor suggestions? 2) Rely on Spo...
