Re: High Q Mag Loop using panadapter

You might also want to take a look at this thread, and the referenced ARRL document about safe distances for RF exposure versus power input. https://www.reddit.com/r/amateurradio/comments/197z79n/mag_loop_rf_radiation_safetly/ Also just to reiterate the high voltages you may well generate on the loo...

Re: High Q Mag Loop using panadapter

I do have a couple of older Receiver Guard 2000 M's plugged into 2 RSPdx antenna inputs. Not sure how trustworthy they might be. The Win4Icom rig control app that I use also has a Spot utility I'm currently trying to figure out. It uses Club Spot.net. Win's Spectrum Scope is more basic than ADR Con...

Re: High Q Mag Loop using panadapter

I have 2 (or more) options to view active frequencies: 1) Use a second, broadband, loop antenna on my RSPdx for RX, along with sufficient protection on antenna inputs since I don't have adequate space to sufficiently separate the TX and RX antennas. Any filter/suppressor suggestions? 2) Rely on Spo...

Re: Isn't this just grand?

Just texted me with other devices that were off line with the breaker off. Turns out it was his house server (computer) that was causing it. Water treatment center, gigabit switch and server were on that breaker (go figure). When he turned it back on I got the following attched image... Says he's g...

Re: High Q Mag Loop using panadapter

I will be soon receiving an MFJ TX/RX mag loop antenna. I understand it has a VERY narrow band in both transmit and receive. For those who have used this or similar narrow band loop, what has been your experience using that antenna with the SDR Console (or any) panadapter? What are the good and les...

Re: Isn't this just grand?

I got it nailed down to a specific house, will try and stop by Sunday when they're home. The house is 0.2miles to the WSW of me, and all lines plotted point to it. Now waiting for the northern light again, quite the display last night! 8-) Good news that you found it. Now for the resolution (hopefu...

Re: Isn't this just grand?

This QRM appeared within the last few days on all my servers at the QTH, worst is on Super Station #2, which was my best system. Starts at 1800kHz to about 2900kHz and again at 4050kHz to 4750kHz. Heading out with the Youloop and AirspyHF+ to track it down or at least get a bearing on it now...

Re: SDR console and RTL dongle

Hi Thanks again. The purpose is to be able to receive without being physically close to the "receiver"/raspberry, and the connection to the antenna, that is, the receiver/raspberry and connection to the antenna in a fixed place and the reception/listening (tablet or laptop) anywhere, prov...

Re: SDR Console V3.3 with Log4OM2 !!!

I am trying to interface the SDR Console V3.3 with Log4OM2. I am not succeeding to get the VFO & mode information to the Log4OM2 application. Any suggestions as to how to get this fixed? Log4OM works very well with SDRC. Just use virtual serial port pair to connect Log4OM to SDRC: https://www.s...
