Re: Zoom feature while recording IQ data?

Hi Dave. I record the full MW-band a lot using a AFEDRI Net SDR. It is fully possible to listen during IQ-recording without interrupting the recording. I mostly make use of the "IF-display" (to the far left in the enclosed screenshot) and moving the Rx-frequency within the recording BW. I ...

Re: Data File Editor jumping files

Hi Dave. Yes, I understand. I've experienced it all :-) I am sure we all have. The habits differs from station to station, still the greatest possibility remains at ToH. South American stations seem to avoid ToH ID's to a larger extent than NA-stations. Very frustrating when listening to a TransAtla...

Re: Data File Editor jumping files

Hi SpE. This does not answer your question nor solve the problem you see. I am just curious about why you make ONE LONG recording if you are only interested in the ToH period? I also record the full MW-band and I start a recording say 4 minutes before ToH and stop it say 4 minutes after ToH. And the...

Re: 6 meter band receivable ?

Paul, that is exactly the way my plain RX-888 works.
VHF controls kicks in at frequencies >32 MHz.

Re: 6 meter band receivable ?

OK Paul. SDRC (latest kit) directs my RX-888 to the "V" port when setting the receive frequency >32 MHz. I.E. it is not possible to receive 50 MHz on the "H" port on my unit. That is why I am interested in knowing how you receive 50 MHz. Maybe someone knows if SDRC acts different...

Re: 6 meter band receivable ?

Paul.
If your RX-888Mk2 does receive 50 MHz, is that on the "H" or "V" port?
My plain RX-888 does receive 50 MHz on the "V" port but with reduced performance.

Re: 6 meter band receivable ?

Hi Paul. I am also interested in 50 MHz coverage in the RX-888Mk2 using SDRC. Have you actually used one RX-888Mk2 for receiving 50 MHz? Have you evaluated the performance in any way (e.g. noise floor, sensitivity, NF etc.)? How did you set up the SDRC in order to receive 50 MHz? Presently I have a ...

Re: Different indications of frequency

Hi Rocco.
It seems to me that you have a quite odd filter setting; USB ~1.7-1.8 kHz
20.3 + 1.724 = 22.24 kHz i.e. the lower filter limit.
20.3 kHz is the suppressed carrier frequency for the USB setting you have.
Can it be so simple?

AirSpy HF+ D1

Hi All. Does anyone have a schematic or maybe knowledge about what the "D1" component at the HF RF-input has as type designation? It is placed in the very close vicinity of the input connector as the very first component after the HF input connector. I suspect that it was (partly?) damaged...

Re: IQ Recording Scheduler - Editing entries

Hi Simon. Thanks for addressing this feature. I have been doing some testing and have these comments: It might be practical with a "Stop time" or "End time" or "Number of recordings" I am not able to get a set of recordings that crosses midnight over to the next day. It...
