Option to Toggle Passband Center Line On/Off

This is a request that I'm sure other medium wave DXers will appreciate, or those with other interests who follow weak carriers before they hopefully strengthen into audio. I love the detail and resolution that SDR-Console provides in the waterfall but I find myself wishing I could make the dotted (...

Re: 3 Dimensional Display for V3

During the 1990s I worked for a leading manufacture of NDT equipment used for the inspection of pressure tubing found in nuclear powerplants and nuclear powered subs & aircraft carriers. Some of the higher end data analysis devices presented the tubing defects data as a 3D waterfall display, whi...

Re: Open next/previous file for play #feature

The Jaguar software aimed squarely at medium wave DXers has this highly useful ability. You can simply click ahead (or back) to a previous day's recording on the same frequency, same time. I also think (but not positive) you can navigate the same way for a user-specified period of time (such as XX n...

Re: Current requirement

USB3.0 port of PC will be OK ,The USB cable included with RX888 is of good quality Not that it matters much, but my RX-888 from Ebay seller "Shenglongsi" did not include a USB cable, just the SDR and nothing else. I was one of the first purchasers, so maybe the cable is included with more...

Re: RX 888 some things

The wide bandwidth of this new SDR will be very useful! I plan to use my RX888 to capture a handful of shortwave broadcast bands for a few minutes at "top of the hour" and "bottom of the hour" along with medium wave on my DXpeditions. No longer will I need to operate two SDRs and...

Re: RX-888 deliveries

In my recent article in the SWLing Post, I wrote: I received my new RX888 SDR receiver today, via DHL shipping in only seven days from ordering on Ebay from seller “shenglongsi”. I’ve noticed that some Chinese Ebay sellers use a placeholder shipping number when choosing the DHL carrier, and then som...

Case Temperature of RX-888

I was curious to learn how hot the RX-888 would get after an hour of continuous 32 MHz bandwidth operation, so today I did before and after measurements of the outer case. My upstairs office was quite sunny and warm today, and the ambient temperature of the RX-888 in this setting was 31.4 C. / 88.5 ...

Re: On Its Way

I know little about the inner workings of SDRs, but there is obviously more than number of bits at work determining the dynamic range/ultimate rejection of one 16-bit SDR versus another. My FDM-S2 and RX-888 are both 16-bit units, but I have found that the RX-888 can dig out very weak audio at times...

Re: Pictures (Guy Atkins)

I replied separately to Bjarne, but for those others interested I'll mention here that my RX-888 has *no* issues with failing to connect with the receiver after computer reboots. I have not had to unplug & replug the USB cable, as Bjarne unfortunately has had to do. Mine has worked flawlessly in...
