Re: NEW COMPUTER QUESTION

You are lucky to have a "financial advisor", most of us have a "financial controller" or a "capital budget manager" to persuade!

Re: SDR Gain and RF-Gain

On the same subject, SDRC running a Pluto has RX options of Manual/Slow attack/Hybrid/Fast attack. What are these?

Re: QO100 beacon signal level

Sounds like your dish is not totally aligned.

How does SDRC calculate the SNR?

Re: QO100 beacon signal level

I re-aligned the dish and lnb and tried other lnb's and now have a snr of 20-23dB. This is better than it was but I can't get any where near the 30dB others have mentioned.

Thanks to all.

Re: QO100 beacon signal level

Alan

Fair comment. The Goonhilly snr is about 18dB and my Pluto is about 10dB.

What do others get?

QO100 beacon signal level

Can anyone tell me what signal level to expect from the PSK beacon on QO100 via Pluto and SDRC?

At the moment mine seems quite low at -112dBm or S2 but listening via the batc Goonhilly sdr it is about s9+10db. I am using a 90cm dish and 0.1 lnb.

Thanks

Tuning bar visibility

Could the "visibility" of the tuning bars be made adjustable? I use the bars on the DSP IF display to home in on the received signal but the bars tend to disappear into the noise. Perhaps others do this in another way?

Re: PTT via Pluto GPO pins

Hi Simon I downloaded the 0.31 firmware from: https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/plutosdr-fw/releases/tag/v0.31 Installed it and checked the version using putty. No PTT via GPIO on TX. I then re-installed the DATV firmware from F5OEO and confirmed that PTT on TX was still working. I have a relay da...
