Re: SDR-CONSOLE with more than one radio window

Hi J, I was thinking something like this, which appears to be what I would like. From what you say ADD doesn't do this, so how is it used. Perhaps, if you don't want endless questions, you could point me to instructions. https://hamradioscience.com/using-multiple-rtl2832u-sticks-for-sdr/ Cheers, C....

Re: SDR-CONSOLE with more than one radio window

"Add" isnt used in that manner. If you want to run more than one dongle/radio, you must open a new instance of Console for each dongle. They will all be separate entities. if you have three dongles that can each cover 2Mhz, each in their own instance of Console, then it is possible to arrange them t...

Re: SDR-CONSOLE with more than one radio window

If you're talking about adding another receiver within the same instance of Console, yes that will be within the received bandwidth of the radio/dongle. All open receivers will need to be within the bandwidth of the dongle you are using in order to work.

Try turning the firewall off briefly and trying to connect. might rule in or out a firewall issue.

Re: Saving Settings etc

We're getting terminology mixed up here !

You're talking about Peaks markers. These only show in the main Console window.

I was talking about saved markers for stations, memories and favourites. Go here for further details: https://www.sdr-radio.com/markers

Re: SDR-CONSOLE with more than one radio window

Yes, you can - but only by running multiple instances of Console.

It is also advisable to use a separate identity got each instance.

Re: Saving Settings etc

Hi, What's the CPU? I think this may be a 'low power' system which is automatically disabling CPU-intensive options. FWIW make sure you have the latest kit. Re 6: there's no way to keep the current frequency in the centre, if you use the IF display of Receive pane then you have this feature. Anothe...

Re: MSI GeForce GT 1030 card?

I had the GTX960 on this machine before upping to the 1650 Super and it was ok on a couple of instances of Console. used to creak a bit if I added Sky Go to the equation!

Paul, that sounds like a good move. Not perfect as you say, but the market is stupid right now.

Re: User defineable Bandwidth

That is set by the hardware. I don 't think Simon can change that. You can of course view and record any bandwidth up to that of the radio. There are options to do that.. including pre-setting bands within favourites. For example I have one for the 10m beacon segment, and just that segment will show...

Re: SDR Console v3 Install Footprint?

It's a tradeoff between relatively simple (HDSDR) and comprehensive (Console) - the bigger the package, the more code there is and the bigger footprint it will take up. I know what you mean by bloatware. Just replaced my laptop with a new 10th gen i7 one (thrashed the last one for four years and now...
