Re: User defineable Bandwidth
That is set by the hardware. I don 't think Simon can change that. You can of course view and record any bandwidth up to that of the radio. There are options to do that.. including pre-setting bands within favourites. For example I have one for the 10m beacon segment, and just that segment will show...

Re: SDR Console v3 Install Footprint?
It's a tradeoff between relatively simple (HDSDR) and comprehensive (Console) - the bigger the package, the more code there is and the bigger footprint it will take up. I know what you mean by bloatware. Just replaced my laptop with a new 10th gen i7 one (thrashed the last one for four years and now...

Re: IC-7300 with HRD and SDR console
Try specifying separate serial poerts for HRD and Icom,m and enable them both in Console. I have successfully done this with two different logging programs, i.e. got both of them successfully talking to the same instance of Console simultaneously.

Hi Bob,
You can use your mouse to hover top right of the spectrum display.. then click on "Zoom" when the red menu appears and click the slider on there.
The CTRL issue has been raised in the last few days. Not sure what the solution will be as yet.

Re: Mouse wheel zooming & frequency marker positioning
I guess an easy solution is to either allow the user to specify a hot key to trigger the frequency input window, rather than use a double-hit or held-down CTRL key to do so, or to use/user-specify a key other than CTRL to activate zoom with mouse wheel? Or even user-disable the holding of CTRL to br...

Re: SDR Console v3 Install Footprint?
Yes, just about 600mb here. You won't need much more for a single or even multiple radios, unless you're making IQ recordings. I put those on a separate disk anyway. My user files take a few mb.. includes all my radio and favourites definitions.

Tutorial: Looping part of a recording
I have posted this to the Skywaves forum - thought I would include it here.
It's a short tutorial on how to loop a small part of a recording in SDR Console.

Re: IF gain setting while recording I/Q ?
Which SDR are you using?
If it's the SDRPlay, then I always use manual in order to keep the gain constant in the event of strong signals coming and going.
