Re: RDS Database - "fat finger" protection
Um, "reload" is also dangerous to your new data. Would an "are you sure?" question be a better solution? {o.o} Followed by a "are you really, really sure?" in case one is not paying attention :D Off-topic but relevant to the conversation. Many years ago when computers ...

RDS - separate databases for each instance
I need to have a separate RDSdatabase for each identity I run. As it is set up, whether I open Main or Ident1 the default database rdsdatabase.sqlite opens up. It is slightly more complicated than that. If I create a database - rdsdatabase_001 for Ident1, and later close down - when I re-start SDRC ...

RDS Database - "fat finger" protection
I am always careful when exporting the RDS database as a csv file, and so far I've avoided accidentally clicking the delete button instead of the Export csv button, which are next to each other But sooner or later.....someone will commit the fatal error. So my request is simply. Please reorder the b...

Re: Data::Playback - Navigator Waterfall
Hi Jim, The problem with the calendar icon is that it is only active after you load the whole file, and although it plays back the selected portion the whole file is still downloaded. I wanted to just be able to load a section. As for the better resolution - I would hope it isn't too difficult to co...

Data::Playback - Navigator Waterfall
Having finally got round to finding where it is located I have to say this is a real game changer for checking for DX in the FM band. It took just over 3 minutes to load 5 hours worth of files at 1 line/sec resolution which can then be rapidly scrolled through looking for the DX. However I have two ...

Re: Yagi radiation pattern display
"Late to the party again" I was trying to do this myself a few weeks ago. I found that CSV Userlist browser has a signal plotter option that works with SDR console. It takes signal readings at a minimum of 0.5 second intervals. It doesn't produce a polar diagram just a time vs strength X-Y...

RDS data timeout request
Could we have a cut-off timer that clears the RDS data and completes the database entry if the RDS is no longer clocking up 'hits'? I would suggest a default value of 30 seconds as a compromise so that a rapidly changing signal doesn't trigger too many separate lines. The request is because the RDS ...

Re: Frequency Database and RDS Log - SQLite comparison
Need a new column with a formula - e.g A2/1000000 - it's what I did. I knew that! :D But it is a bit more subtle than that because I've a number of frequencies offset by 13 kHz to improve RDS detection next to strong locals. It will probably be easier to change these frequencies in favourites to us...

Re: Frequency Database and RDS Log - SQLite comparison
Concatenating the frequency and pi code is something I'm going to have to explore. As an aside - this is where when sharing ideas there are differences between OpenOffice and LibreOffice, and indeed Excel. CATCON in OpenOffice is CONCATENATE. Taking it one step further - I think that Concatenating F...

Re: Frequency Database and RDS Log - SQLite comparison
Paul, Thanks. Did you mean "scheduler" or "frequency database"? I have actually now found a reasonable solution.. exported the frequency database to csv, and made a master spreadsheet. I then export the rds log to a csv, load it into a spreadsheet, frig around with the columns a...
