Re: what are the "Dither", "Random", and "PGA" options in the radio settings panel?

These three functions are set for the ADC LTC2208, you can check the LTC2208 specification for related descriptions

Re: Rx888 Mk II and v3.0.27

At present, from the feedback of HDSDR, we can see that HDSDR can't calculate so much data, and FFT can't handle it. It can't run 64M bandwidth on my PC i5 4590, but it can run 64M normally on i7 3770 of ik1xpv. I think if It should be possible to have a computer with sufficient performance. Of cour...

Re: Calibration

The main reason is that the ADC LTC2208 generates too much heat, which causes the internal temperature to vary greatly. I will consider providing an external clock input option on the RX999 to facilitate access to reference clocks such as GPSDO

Re: longer usb lead for RX-888

Pray for an RX-999 with provision for an external power supply. Meanwhile use leads that are built for high current draw. They are fat, unwieldy, but have a chance of working. {^_^} It may not be the problem of power supply. It is more likely to be the problem of USB3.0 signal transmission. USB3.0 ...

Re: VHF Down-convertor for RX-888 ?

There is a simple way to use ADL5801 module + nanovna to generate LO + filter,Actually I am designing one, but I have been busy recently and have not continued

Re: Calibration

You can calibrate through hardware. After disassembling the metal casing, there is a potentiometer above the shielding cover of the VCXO unit, which can be fine-tuned according to the standard frequency.

Have you tried other systems or computers? If the equipment is abnormal, the dealer can be recommended to replace it

Re: VHF/UHF performance (and LF/VLF too!)

In my test, I found that the heat of R820T2 will cause the reception performance to decline. On the other hand, we did not turn on the internal Mixer gain adjustment of R820T2, only the gain control of LNA and VGA was turned on. We will add it to the new version of RX888 extio This option

In my actual use, -20dB attenuation is enough. Normally there will not be such a strong signal.
