Good call Max. That did it. I changed the bandwidth of the receiver to 6MHz and it displays full frequency range. As you say, if I set it to 4Mhz it does not. Have to go to next higher bandwidth setting.
Thanks once again,
John

Still unable to modify favorite
I/m trying to modify the 2 meter favorite 144-148. It does not display the full frequency range. I've tried to expand the range by dragging out the range at the bottom of the waterfall and clicking the update icon in the favorites bar. I click off the 2 meter and then click back onto it and no chang...

Bug or Feature?
I discovered I can control traveling the frequencies on a band by using the arrow keys (thanks Max). What I also discovered is if I click on the noise reduction and change it, then click back into the waterfall or spectrum or the frequency list between the two, when I use the arrow keys to move to d...

modifier key for frequency scrolling
I have my tuning step size for ssb set to 10hz. When I am on a crowded band, I will start from the left and tune the first signal in. Then to browse the band I will point the mouse cursor to the 1khz digit and scroll with the mouse wheel which allows me to hit most of the active frequencies across t...

Re: Trying to suppress this noise...Any ideas?
Last week I ordered a step attenuator off ebay. Came in yesterday and It helps drop the noise down without greatly impacting the signal. I use it mostly on the low settings (1 through 10 and mostly a combination of the first 4 switches). If your handy and have some resistors on hand this could be ma...

retain settings when switching bands
I would like the application to retain my AGC, Noise Blanker, Noise Reduction and notch settings (basically all settings in left hand pane below the filter settings). When I shut down the program then restart it, the last settings and band I used are retained. It is a small pain to have settings for...

Re: Trying to suppress this noise...Any ideas?
Thanks for the replies. I am old to the world, but new to hf listening. Based on your comments, I'm learning not to expect noise to be reduced just because there is a control there for suppression and since I have no relative experience to compare, crystal clear background is probably not going to h...

Re: Trying to suppress this noise...Any ideas?
I am listening on an SDRPlay RSP1A. The antenna is a MyAntenna EFHW8010 in inverted V over the tree about 40ft high, fed to the receiver with 12ft of RG8/u. I am in rural Missouri on 8 acres. Nearest neighbor at least 100yds away through the woods. Attached screed shot. Can you shed any light on the...

Re: Trying to suppress this noise...Any ideas?
Max, it appears what I hear is related to the noise reduction settings. If however, I turn all off, it is difficult to suppress the background noise. If I check the noise blanker on, I get no response from that control. Changing sliders has no effect. The NR1 gives the best suppression but I get the...
