11For PD3LK et al: Re: Noise And "Wall Warts" ?

Hi,

Assuming it works, here's a photo of the "noise" I am trying to peg.
Please let me know if it doesn't show (anywhere).
I'm still a bit uncertain re how to Attach or include photos.

It's pretty much exactly the same from 2 to 3 MHz, AM, all the time.

Thanks for help,
Bob

Noise And "Wall Warts" ?

Hello, Regarding these "wall-warts" that we seem to have all over the place these days: Before I crawl under everything removing them one by one: Not sure how similar one brand is to another, but what are the "typical" frequencies one might expect to be radiated as "noise&qu...

RF And IF Gain: Sliders ?

Hi, Not at all sure if this is "practical,", or even if it's a good idea. But, and it's likely it is only me, but I spend a lot of effort in coming up with a good compromise between the "RF Gain" and the "IF Gain" (when AGC is Off). I keep thinking how much easier it wo...

Plugins, Or Third Party Apps ?

Hi, Oops ! I had posted this to the "old Forum" Force of habit, I guess. So, here's a re-post of: Am familiar with Jeff's Frequency Manager (without the Scanner unfortunately), and CSVUserListBrowser, but are there any other third-party apps, or plugins, that mesh with Console and are wort...

From OP: Re: Notch Filter Question

Hi Jim,

Thanks for reply.

Seems like it might be a worthwhile item to add to Simon's "Wish List"

Regards, and stay well,
Bob

Re: AM AGC

Hello,

Via Simon: "Use the carrier for AM AGC, not demodulated audio."

How, please, does one switch between them ? (Doesn't seem to be in the AGC choices/pull downs ?)

Thanks,
Bob

Waterfall Display Msg. Of: "RF Gain Too High"

Hello, Re the "Overload - Reduce RF Gain" window that flashes in the Waterfall Display when RF Gain is too high. Seems to stay on for only a few seconds. Valuable information. Very easy to miss (at least for me) Might it be possible to keep it displayed until the RF Gain is actually reduce...

Any Program Indication That RF Gain Too High ?

Hello,

Have a RSPdx.

Is there any "visual" program indication that you have the rf Gain set to high, and possibly overloading the RSPdx ?

If not, what's a good way of telling ?

Thanks,
Bob

Unsubscribing From Forums Not nterested In ?

How, please do I unsubscribe from them such that I don't receive an eMail every time there is a new Post to any of them ? Same basic question: How do i sign up for eMail notifications for only the ones i want ? I read, ...
