Tweak the Data::Playback icons
Refers to the beta test version from the 17th? and 20th At some point could you please tweak the layout of the four icons for opening a file, play, play previous, play next. It would be more intuitive if for example you had the "Open" icon on the left and the Play, Next, and Prev as a stac...

Re: Problems with USB 3.0 - not enough resources
There are loads of perfectly satisfactory powered USB 3.0 hubs available, but the question was about throttled resources which on most hubs is one controller shared between all ports, so slowest device connected (USB 2.0 perhaps) can drag down performance of all the others. That's my understanding ...

VHF Down-convertor for RX-888 ?
Does anyone know of a suitable - low-cost - down convertor that could be used with the RX-888? I am specifically looking at the 88 - 108 MHz FM broadcast band. So far I have found a mixer module on banggood for around £8.50 - £11.50. It would require an 80 MHz input to give 8-20 Mhz output. On aliex...

Re: Problems with USB 3.0 - not enough resources
I've got this one from Startech - PEXUSB 3S4 V USB 3.0 PCIe card at £27.66 from CCL computers. And it has been plugged into the PSU -I checked when the PC was delivered The 'lack of resources' isn't to do with the power, despite the article saying plug power hungry devices into USB 2.0 ports - its t...

Problems with USB 3.0 - not enough resources
Believe it or not - you can't run four USB devices on a single USB 3 hub without the possibility of running into problems. I came across this when setting up my new PC. This has 2 x USB 3 on the front, 4 x 3.0 USB and 2 x USB 2.0 on the back that come off the motherboard. That is nowhere near enough...

Re: Noise Source Finally Found (2-3 MHz am)
Just spotted this post. There was a story in the national newspaper where an ancient crt tv wiped out broadband for a whole village.

Re: FM MPX out and FM modulation m3asurement
Used to do '1/' years back by stripping all of the de-emphasis components out of a band II tuner. I just tapped the audio signal from my Sony ST-311 tuners frome the appropriate pins of the chip before it went through the de-emphasis and used the signal to feed RDSSpy for RDS decoding. A 16-bit 192...
Re: A scanner
If signal strength detection was present with a 1 min threshold.... Aargh.. gremlined.. didn't spot the typo as off the computer for a few days. I meant of course 1 second. Regarding the airband...not my cup of tea, but I live right under the London - Europe main flight path so have checked them so...

Recording Scheduler - validate entries added direct to the SQL database
This request follows on from the other topic of scheduled recordings. As already discussed the recording scheduler offer tremendous potential for automating complex tasks. I've sorted out the problems I had and can correctly import a csv file into the Scheduler SQLlite database. It's mainly ensuring...

Re: Executing a list of scheduled recordings
If only I could work out how to upload a csv file generated from Excel or OpenOffice Calc into the SQLlite database I'd be a happy bunny! Then I could use autofill to create hundreds and hundreds of entries with the drag of a mouse. When you google how to do it - it looks really simple, but in pract...
