Re: Playing recordings

If that is ever implemented, might there be any support for the idea of using such a waterfall highlighting method as the bandwidth/period "box" starting-point to launch the Datafile Editor? [BTW, just checked Future (To-Do) list and found plenty of additions since my last look. Great idea...

"Ethical Diamonds"

It may be inappropriate to raise an issue like this because of its political content, in which case I won't be offended to have it removed. I'm curious to know how other radio users feel about buying stuff from China, as I've got strong reservations. To be transparent, there are times when a plug ad...

Re: Waterfall speed allow 12 hours for noise detection?

Gary, I just wonder if monitoring a spot frequency would be good enough?
The Spectrum: Signal History can be configured for a buffer up to 48 hours, fairly easy on storage if exported.

Coherent Multi-RX Recordings

Just very curious... First we had audio recordings, time-shifting one demodulated channel. Then we got I-Q recordings, time-shifting a spectrum with variable filters/demodulation. When do we get coherent multi-RX I-Q files? Haven't yet seen any reference to recording I-Q from both/all receivers with...

RDS Statistics

Just a thought, Simon - it may not be useful, and I wouldn't want to divert attention from more important things. Under poor conditions, the displayed PI code may be absent for much of the time and vary when there is something to show. The user will not remember the set of PI values and may not have...

I'll own up to using AdBlock when the new forum appeared - bit of a culture shock! But now blocking the blocker on here because "it's worth it".

Re: Audio output options

"Herding cats maybe easier."
subject phrase + adverb + adjective = NOT A SENTENCE

"Herding cats may be easier."
subject phrase + finite verb + verb infinitive + adjective = PERFECTLY GOOD SENTENCE

Re: Multichannel Audio Recording

Hi, Simon, hope Xmas is good for you & hairy. I admit the >2 channels was more "let's see where this goes" than a request that could easily be justified. But: Reaper and any number of DAW/Editors could replay them. A broadcaster (asked for QSL) would probably have no trouble either. It...

Re: Multichannel Audio Recording

Here is a sample recording of Taiwan Area Fisheries Broadcast via Bjarne's Kongsfjord KiwiSDR. Streamed using John Seamons' KiwiRecorder tool on two simultaneous channels for 738 & 1433 kHz, broadcasting in parallel. The two mono streams were stitched into a single stereo WAV with Audacity. http...
