I think you might me exceeding the limits of your computer. BC-FM uses more CPU resources vs SSB, from my humble observations. On the widest bandwidth SDR (2Mhz), my 5th generation i5 (i5-5200)@2.2GHz gives me a 40% CPU load on BC-FM. When I go to USB it drops to 23%.
