GPU just under 50%? That sounds a tad high. His GUI may be running way behind on updates.

Suite of Saga FDM-S3 ELAD
Full shut down of the computer will restart the entire system.
Now, in my procedure, I completely stop the FDM-S3 because, It happened to me often at the beginning to leave the FDM-S3 on without stopping it (press the button on/off)
At the full restart, 50% of the launches, the SDR was not recognized, Console did not recognize it!
Now systematically press the button on the FDM-S3 stop button
Finally launch procedure with Bandwith at 3.075 MHz and Band set in the middle of the 88-108 MHz Band
Setting the Visual Gain = 0 and Scale auto = 0 to 160 dBm
OK launch works
Stop and relaunched with

Settings:
BW = 24.075 MHz
Visual Gain = 0
Scale = auto 0 to 160 dBm
Zoom = Mini
Contrast click = Auto

The FDM-S3, it Pulse!

Here at, with two Screenshot according to the settings described, just, above

Screenshot No.2 - Most Powerful FM Station

Simon, please, your reactions and advice, thank-you

My FDM-S3 OCXO

For your information and with tree pictures
My FDM-S3, works wonderfully. It settled without any problems from the start.
My favorite software is the SDR Console V3 version 3.0.26 build xxx.
The FDM-S3 was recognized immediately without any blockage.
The version of my FDM-S3 is with an OCXO.
For its operation was implanted 12 meters from the shack an antenna GNSS Abracon AEACMK0660746-SG4.
On a mast with a diameter of 35 mm, height 1.5 meters above ground.
I placed an aluminum disc 1 mm thick of 200 mm diameter under the antenna.
The entire antenna is covered with a 200 mm diameter plexiglass dome.
This antenna is connected with 15 m of Amphenol LMR-400-DB coaxial cable.
Very good functioning and I visualize the proper functioning of this antenna by the software U-center_v20.10
Everything works remarkably well.

Hi,

I have also had to restart the S3 - I think there may be a firmware issue. Will talk to the boys at ELAD, but at least a reset solves the problem.

Maybe I move to France or Spain if BREXIT continues.

Just for the record, I tested with a sig gen (well, my MFJ antenna analyser which emits a signal) and I can confirm my S3 works at 144Mhz... up to 147Mhz. Above 147Mhz you start to get mirrors of below 147mhz and if you move the span to in excess of 150Mhz, you get FM broadcast images everywhere.

At some point I will plug in my 2m beam into the VHF socket to see what its performance on 2m is like, but I am pretty sure it's working outside its official specs that high.
