Owner of a Hermes Lite 2 SDR radio, which I used until now with the Quisk software, I'm discovering SDR Console v3.2 and have one question about the use of HamBands.
The "View" - "BandPlan" - "Editor" menu allows us to modify the edges of the HamBands according to the local registration (IARU 1, 2 or 3 or special limits in some countries). This is a nice point.
Some countries, like Japan or Thailand prohibit tranceivers able to transmit outside of the Hambands edges. Most countries let the OM decide to obbey to the regulations.
QRP Labs for instance sells its QCX+ kits with the possibility to choose a Japanese firmware in order to comply with Japanese regulations.
Quisk allows the user to write a "quisk_hardware_hl2_oob.py" file in the "hardware file path" of the Config/radio/Hardware screen. This hardware file disables the power amplifier when the transmit frequency including the sidebands is outside of the band selected.
Is there something similar in SDR Console v3.2, something like a setting somewhere? This would allow the OM to choose to prohibit transmission out of HamBand or to allow it, which would be necessary in case of the use of a Transverter.
