Receiver Changing Frequency - Feature or Bug

#1

Unread post by ka6fub »

I am having an issue with receivers changing frequencies. The attached screenshot shows the mode I am in. This time of the year I use Console to monitor the primary police and fire channels. I use the mute / unmute buttons as well as hovering over receivers a lot. So my mouse is moving around a lot.

The problem I am having is randomly I will notice that one of my receivers has changed frequency of one of the other receivers. It is not like I have done something to change the frequency of the receiver, it is like I copied the frequency of one receiver to another. Like a copy / paste operation. I have tried to keep track of what I am doing to figure what causes this but have not been able to relate it to anything I am doing.

Is this action an available feature in Console? If so can it be disabled? Or is this a bug?

Thanks...

I have seen this also.

I will try and reproduce this on a video over the next few days.

Jim, good idea about using the recorder. I started recording and then just tried changing the selected receiver. Did not take long to see receiver #2 change to the same frequency of receiver #4.

I have the video but cannot figure out how to add it to this post, it does not allow mp4 files. I will post it to my cross post in the old forums.

Hi Dennis, you can put the mp4 somewhere in the cloud (Dropbox, OneDrive, ...) - put in the public share map - and share the link here.

If you have a Youtube account you can post it there and embed in your post here.

I cross posted this to the old SDR-Radio.groups.io site too. You can see the video there. But I can post to YouTube later too.

And I've just enabled MP4 uploads which may be slow, runs on a small NUC in my computer room!

I can't work out how to display an uploaded video via a URL yet.
