Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) ?

#1

Unread post by BOB11 »

Hello,

Blame my ignorance on old age now.

How do I select the Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) as the audio output ?

How do I configure it ? Trying to feed the Navtex decoder YAND via a new Icom R8600 and Console.

I understand the program has this as an option.

Thanks,
Bob

On the program's main window there is a set of windowshade style panels on the left labeled at the top, "Receive". The top thing in that pane is a frequency readout showing the frequency for the current selected receiver. The next thing down is a drop list that probably shows "default". Click on it. You should see a selection for the VAC if that is running. Note that you can select a different output for each receiver you create.

Note that in context above a receiver is what might be called a parallel IF strip on an analog radio if that helps you visualize what is going on. On the "Receive" ribbon bar you can add a receiver, delete a receiver, select a receiver, mute or unmute a receiver and more.
