omirig ftdx1200 and elad..2 issues

got it all working..wow...now got tactile rig plus excellent rx..

except for i can not mute the elad /sdrc in tx.

everything is checked to make it mute as per the instructions on sdrc webpage.even ticked the rx mute in sdrc transmit options (including playing with mute level.)

so..yet again doing something wrong maybe?..any ideas please.

ptt is via mic on yaesu, just like a stock rig,not via pc.(and thats just how I want it to stay..)

ps..sdrc will not allow me to screenshot open external radio settings window..but mute audio and reduce iq data are both ticked, have tried rebooting sdrc,pc and elad.

issue 2..using serial to usb converter..good one..its says on com port 3..i have to plug it after sdrc is up and running or it states port busy..restarting sdrc or elad or ftdx1200 makes no difference..so if i leave ftdx on but switch off elad and sdrc it will not work again if I restart unless i unplug adapter and replug back in..

Update..

Got mute to work, but only by using auto-mute ( overload) configuration..

Is this correct, confused as why on external radio window it does not work? Keen on not hurting my elad!!

There must be a better way than using auto mute.
I set it up to mute myself on low power..(100w.) but then it auto mutes on strong rx signals..
If I set it up to ok on strong local signals ( 2 hams near me,) then it will not mute when i tx..
Pooh..

So back to why when i tx on yaesu ( omirig etc) does it not mute?

No..afraid not.

Looking at sdrc on external radio it gives options to mute rx and reduce iq.. this does not work..
No idea why..

Auto mute is also no go..set it up for my tx and it mutes rx when local hams come on air..

Need the external radio mute to work..

Also it will not boot up external radio from startup unless i plug the serial port in after startup..( thats the serial to usb from the yaesu to pc...) otherwise it just says port busy..unplug, plug back in all ok..

Been searching old group, but not gound what i need yet..

NP Simon. Must be others with very similar setups. Sorry I can't help further because I am 100% SDRC or 100% old kit (Drakes) but nothing in between!
