Hi,
I've tried to crash this by using invalid / bad paths - no luck. I assume that either the program vanishes or you see the 'Please Wait' message? If you see 'Please Wait' and save a crash dump I'll be able to fix it.

I do not see the please wait, just a blue circle for 3 secs then its gone
I do recall it installing Microsoft Network again in the recent download
Will let everyone know if we find a solution

Re: SDR Cvonsole crash playing recording
Hi,
Try a new, unused identity and see if it crashes. If it does then it's not a bad registry setting and I will have a suggestion.
Re: SDR Cvonsole crash playing recording
I will have a look at trying this
Let u know the out come

On start up I selected alternative identity
Folder opened and I can play recordings ok, it stuttered a bit when locating WAV files but all seems well on Alternative ID
I have 2 serial number Airspy, s to select but on Alternative only 1 as the other is not plugged in (probably not relevant)
I also suspected Malaware Bytes as I know this can cause problems.
But all ok on alternative ID whi8ch is great as I can play recordings ok

Please, always tell me what you see - Please Wait, program vanishes, what? I've tried to crash this and failed so will dig further.

Simon
I only see the blue circle when I hit the open folder in REC/PLAYBACK for a few seconds and the programme disappears completely no trace in Task Manager of it being active.
When I initially tried the ALT id access to the WAV files was achieved and playback of old recordings was succesful.
I made a new overnight recording in ALT ID selecting E drive as the file location and when I went to play it the same thing happened, blue circle for a few secs and it crashed just as in the main programme. (click on the open folder in REC/PLAYBACK and 3-5 secs of blue circle and its gone)
Although I can not reproduce it when I did a capture of it crashing on one of the pics I notice a SDR Console not responding in the top left hand corner. (it must be instant as I cant see that as it crashes)
Sorry for all the hassle
There is no please wait just the blue circle

Re: SDR Cvonsole crash playing recording
OK,
Am wondering about a bad disk, but this shouldn't cause a crash. I wonder if you have an invalid link on the disk.
