Using RX whilst recording

#1

Unread post by pnoelw »

Is it possible to set the IQ recorder and continue to use a receiver without the recorder modifying its centre frequency?

Last night I set the recording session centred on 440kHz with a BW of 500kHz and ticked the Lock Radio Frequency box and hit start. I then changed the RX1 frequency to 518kHz to monitor Navtex. The recording was then centred on 518kHz with a BW of 500kHz.

Is there a way to set the recording and still move the RX frequency without affecting the recording?

Lock frequency is selected by default.

If you clicked it you may have disabled it?

Thanks for the reply, Jim. I had ticked the Lock Frequency box.

I've just had another look. I now understand that you can tune the receiver and provided you don't centre it or change the visible span then all remains as set in the recorder.
