hi Simon,
I'm using a HL2 with a 144/28 transverter to work weaks signals on 2 meters.
Therefore I have a VAC from RS to MSHV
Works fine but I also want to listen to the signal and 'assumed' the RX button in the monitor would let me listen to it but apparently is doesn't
What is the purpose of the RX button ?
Listening while TXing works fine!

Re: Monitor RX behavior
TX and RX select when the transmit audio is played back through the speakers so you hear you own voice while talking.
At present your solution is to add RX2 tuned to the same frequency as RX1.

Alternatively, you could use the Audio repeater that comes with VAC.. select Virtual Audio Cable 1 as your Wave in, and your speakers as Wave out.
