Undoing an inadvertent screen change?

#1

Unread post by Frank O »

When using SDR Console v3.0.25 the other day, I inadvertently clicked where I shouldn't have, and closed the Receiver pane on the lefthand side of the screen (i.e. the one showing the frequency, mode, filters etc).

When this closed, the spectrum/waterfall panes immediately expanded to the left to cover the whole screen, including the area previously occupied by the receiver pane.

I've been tinkering, looking at controls within the software, as well as the user-guide pages on the website, and as yet have struck out on getting this put back the way it was originally.

Could anyone possible help? Thanks in advance.

Frank,
Upper left hand circular button ( that large one)
Click on it.
Select Receive DSP.

Hi Colin, thanks for the suggestion.

Circular Button > Receive DSP indeed makes the Receive pane visible. However, the lefthand end of the spectrum/waterfall panes remain hidden underneath it. How do I get the spectrum/waterfall panes to resize?

Hi Frank,

Did you try docking the Receive pane? A screen shot would help.

Thanks, Barry. Here's a screen shot. You might notice that the edge of the analog dBm meter is barely visible on the right edge of the Receive pane.

What step or steps are required to dock the Receive pane, apart from just dragging it to the desired position?

Never mind my last question -- after some searching I found the procedure (right-click on the top light-blue bar of the receive pane, select "Dock"). Problem solved!

Thanks again for the help.

Frank, there's more in case you want to move a pane.
Please have look at the picture: drag and release a pane on one of the 4 arrowed buttons in the middle.
This will allow you to move and dock the panes.

Interesting tip, I didn't know that was there. I'll have to play around with it. Thanks!
