Hi Simon,
Receivers: Airspy R2 and HermesLite 2
What happens is that in all modes, except FM modes, the audio dies out after a few seconds, but only when using filters higher than about 800Hz.
Example: Airspy tuned at 40 MHz, mode USB, filter 2.8 kHz. When radio starts there is audio, but after about 1 second with two hicks, audio dies out. Change filter to 500Hz, audio returns. Same for CW and AM modes.
Attached two screenshots, but a video would give a better view of what is happening. Please let me know if you want one.

Re: Audio suddenly stops, but not always
Scroll down in the RX DSP panel (left had side), let's see the rest of the DSP settings.
Also try disabling the wideband NB (top of the display in the ribbon bar).

Hi Simon,
Found it. Noise Blanker trick didn't help. Switching off the electric sheep fence either
Scrolling down to the DSP settings: AM/SSB Squelch was engaged!
Maybe a small "Squelch Engaged" indicator in the top part of the left column?
Thanks for your help, sorry for the bandwidth!
