Hi,
I have my 'Main' identity with 1 SDR and simply want to have all the same settings etc. as 'identity 1' but using a different SDR. So can I somehow 'copy' the 'main identity, chngne the receiver and make it 'Identity 1' ?
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Identity Query
Yes, you'll find the Ident settigs under
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\SDR-RADIO.com (V3)\Console
Just copy all files under Ident0 to one of the other Ident maps.
Make a copy first from all Idents before experimenting.

Re: Identity Query
I really must add an Identity Copy feature...
Re: Identity Query
That would be more save for less experienced users.

Re: Identity Query
Just to clarify for us:
Now, there is only the one folder Ident0 inside the Console folder.
Should we create an additional folder Ident1 and drop all the files
inside? Or drop them into the Select Identity Alternate box 1 that now
(upon creation of alternate identities) shows up upon start-up of the
SDR Console program?
Thanks for the additional clarification.

Re: Identity Query
The maps are auto created when you start SDRC with another Ident and the files from Ident0 are copied into them automaticly as well.
All settings that you change are automaticly saved in the new IdentX map.
F.e. Memories and Favourites are saved in these maps also. So if you want to keep these files up-to-date and the same, then don't forget to copy them regulary between the 4 Ident maps.

Re: Identity Query
Thanks very much for the explanations and responses.
I too wish to copy the settings from the "Main" identity to Identity 1
and then "modify" those settings slightly to suit the other radio
in Identity 1. I created and renamed Identity 1, but don't see
the settings automatically populated and don't know "where" to copy
and paste the files from the Main identity to new Identity 1.
Perhaps I don't compute the "maps"?
Sorry for the newbie questions on this.
A workaround will just be to duplicate the settings I need but copy sure would be faster.

After starting a new IdentX SDRC creates the new IdentX map but does NOT copy files from Ident0 to the new Ident. SDRC creates new default files.
After this you can select all files in Ident0 and copy them to the new IdentX.
Overwrite the files there. I close SDRC always before i do this to prevent locked files from the copy.

Re: Identity Query
OK, and thanks
In your utilization of "IdentX", is the "X" variable such as Ident1 or Ident2 or....etc?
Is that what you are referring to, multiple instances of identities?
Where do I find the new IdentX map to copy the Ident0 files?
I am unable to locate unless a "map" isn't a file or folder?
At one point you stated "The maps are auto created when you start SDRC with another Ident and the files from Ident0 are copied into them automaticly as well."
Then and above: "After starting a new IdentX SDRC creates the new IdentX map but does NOT copy files from Ident0 to the new Ident. SDRC creates new default files".
I am a newbie, but the above statements are in conflict with each other.
