Correct method to update to new vwersion

Hello Forum,
I am very new user of SDR-Radio Console. I started a few days ago with 3.0.24 and using RTL-SDR dongle successfully.This morning I installed 3.0.26 on top of previous version, but seems to crash. So my question is do I first need to uninstall previous version. Which precedure is correct ?
Using RTL-SDR dongle and RSP1A.

Just install over the top.

What happens when you try to run it? Does it crash on loading? Or when trying to start a radio?

It crashes on loading. Now I unsinstalled, rebooted and reinstalled and it seems to work

It crashed on loading. Now I uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled. Seems to work now. BTW , while running the software how can I reset all settings and start fresh on next startup ?

While running, right click on the icon on the bottom of screen (W10), reset is one of many options:
