BeaconOffset data file

The beacon offset is written into a CSV file. The maximum number of lines seems fixed to 10 000.
Can this number be changed by the user or is it fixed in the code?
The offset is written in time intervals varying between about 2 and 20 seconds. Can this interval be changed?
The reason why asking: I want to collect data over a full 24 hour period which is not possible at the moment due to the number of line restrictions.
