Hi board , im Sandro from Milan , Italy
I'm just owner of this good SDR and i'm trying to use SdRconsole V3.0.26 build 2088 .
I have an Wellbrook Loop Ala 1530

Issue is related to audio feedback that on SdrConsole is a little distorced some fading effect with more bass tone , compared the same signal listened with SDR# sharp .
Is not simple let me understand but audio with other sw is more clear
Did you have had other feedbacks?
There is a way to improve audio clearity ?
I try with audio equaliser .... but didn't have improvment .

Br, Sandro

A screen shot with the DSP panel displayed would help!
But you may want to see if the DSP AGC is ON, not OFF.
The AGC can be slow, medium, or fast.... but make sure it’s ON and not OFF.

See “Audio Question” on this forum down below,I have a screen shot of what to look for. I’m on an IPad, and away from home where the original image is stored.

Haven’t figured out how to direct you to the exact message, no numbering system on this forum.

Try AGC low & dropping the visual gain to -20 to -30. Sharp does sound better, but still very noisy & a difficult listen to my ears.

CiaO Bob
I set AGC Low - ok
Visual gain -20 -30 , signal is to much low and loss signal
Now i'm play with Visual Gain 0 and Preamplifier On .

What happens if you open the bandwidth out to give more high frequencies? Make sure SDRC is running the same bandwidth as sdrsharper. Are they both on the same antenna at the same time?

Typically, I run my fleet of Airspy HF Discoveries :
Radio AGC Low or High (doesn't make much difference), Attenuator OFF, Pre Amp OFF (On when on 20M and higher), and visual gain of +15 to +25 depending upon the antenna connected.
In all cases, the DSP AGC is ON (any setting but ON).

What's NOT showing in your screen shot are the NR NB settings. Close the IF display in the DSP panel to allow all the other filters to be seen and take another screen shot and post it.
If you are monitoring AM signals, you will need to open your audio bandwidth in the DSP panel more than +/-2.5kHz. Hams are typically more than that , and HF BC stations are typically +/- 5KHz. Otherwise the audio will sound tinny due to the restricted audio passband.

Hi board , thanks very much for yours replie .
So , test had done with same antenna (ala 1530) and same time .
For what NB are setting , usually a turn off NB because make a "fry" effect .

For best behaviour i keep this setting :
AGC on - fast
Preampli - On
Attenuator -Off
Visual gain : 15 Db

For the moment i think SDConsole is the best solution for features invloved even if for airspy could be some improved to be done .
In the past i alway used with perseus, Elad fdm2 and fdm3 with good results .
