Happy New Year Denis,
I have an approximately similar interface (CP2102). I installed it on my computer now. I have Windows 7 64 bits. My driver is from 27.09.2017. If you want, I'll send you the archive via email or put it on Drive.

Problem with FT-817 & FT-857 External radio
Re: Problem with FT-817 & FT-857 External radio
These with a Profilic chip should work fine under Win10, mine has that chip too.

Re: Problem with FT-817 & FT-857 External radio
btw as an example cos the Yeasu's have there own CAT interface.
I can't find any voltage specs for this cat port but i know Yeasu's use there own cat cable with build-in voltage leveler. (CT62)
It woulnd't surprise me that your interface (or any other standaard serial to USB converter cable) will not work well.

Re: Problem with FT-817 & FT-857 External radio
For those who struggle with this to... everyday when i want to use my external radio (Icom R75) i get a message Port Busy in the external radio pane.
I noticed this happens when the PC has been in sleep mode even when all USB ports power-saving options are unchecked.
The cable/comm interface keeps also visable in the Windows COMM ports list. (devices)
Only unplugging and reconnecting the Serial <-> USB cable solves this.
It's not a real issue for me, just curious if others see this behavior too.

Hello
There may be other programs that use the port. It is released by disconnecting and reconnecting. An example of a program could be WSJTX. If PTT has been set via serial COM, even if it does not use the port to transmit data, it occupies it for PTT command via DTR or RTS. It's just an example, the solution is there.

That could be the reason, i will look for other (forgotten?) programms that maybe opens this comm port without my knowledge. Thanks, Leonyo7fws wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 10:28 pm Hello
