SDRC Panadapter with Logger32 - an idiot's guide to setup...?

Is there such a thing?
I can't get it to work. Sometimes it seems to function briefly, but most of the time it just doesn't.
There are a million different settings I could alter in SDRC and in Logger32, and it feels like I have tried most combinations.
Today, it looks like this: ??
No, I can't even figure out how to insert an image.
Some days, I hate computers...
The External Radio window reports 'Kenwood, Online'. The frequencies displayed in the External Radio window matches that displayed in the Receive window and in the spectrum. They do not, however, remotely resemble the frequency displayed on the dial of the radio.
The slave port debug window in Logger32 just scrolls past, reading
Poll: IF;
Rx: IF;
Poll: IF;
Rx: FA;
Poll: IF;
Rx: FB;
Poll: IF;
Rx: PT;
whatever that means.
Everything gives the impression that all components are talking to each other satisfactorily. They just aren't.
Someone, somewhere has this working, and understands how. I would be very grateful if they could explain it to me.
