A tiny bit lost

i am pleased with myself after installing sdr console V3 and integrating it with EiBi database. Everything works fine and i am liking it . Does the program now go on to display the location of the distant transmiltter on "Simons world map " or are my assumptions wrong ? perhaps it stops at the database
Can you advise please

Greetings!
The two pieces of software are not designed to work together. The World Map was Simon's creation of a Geochron that he designed on a break from coding SDRC.
A typical Geochron costs BIG MONEY:

So, to answer your question, there is no station positions displayed other than those you enter. If you want to know where an HF BC station is, use:

Take the green dot and drag it to your location so the RF predictions on signal strength will be more realistic.

From what it looks like you are wanting, I strongly suggest you look into giving CSV Userlist Browser a trial. Once you use it you will not go back. Downloads all the big databases almost automatically and for any station frequency shows all the active stations on that frequency at the current time. Shows instant display of selected station on map with all bearing and distance information, + lots lots more.

It integrates perfectly with SDRC. Take a little bit of set up using virtual serial ports but most of that is covered in the video link below and for SDRC, the section I have linked to on Simon's website. Note the YouTube video relates to setting up with SDR Uno SDR software but most of the info in the video is pertinent to the actual CSVUB setup side not the SDR software. You just need to get the hang of using virtual serial ports from SDRC to drive it. Don't get diverted in to using SDR Uno by the video. Stick with SDRC because it is the best of course!

Also note the best help files (manual if you like) for CSVUB is the one accessed from the "Help" section within the program itself.

So the useful links:

Good luck.

Re: my last post, if you want to see CSVUB in action, skip straight to 13 mins 30 secs into the YT video. You will immediately see the power of the program in action.

Best
