AM AGC
Use the carrier for AM AGC, not demodulated audio.
Re: AM AGC
Hi Simon,
I have some interference covering most of the AM broadcast band. Usually, with constant speech or music, the AGC works fine but if there is a second or more of 'dead air' time the interference noise level increases due to the current AGC method. The carrier level does stay constant so carrier AGC should cure that one annoyance with AM.
Thanks for all the work you put into this large project!

Hello,
Via Simon: "Use the carrier for AM AGC, not demodulated audio."
How, please, does one switch between them ? (Doesn't seem to be in the AGC choices/pull downs ?)
Thanks,
Bob

Re: AM AGC
Carrier AGC for AM is in 3.0.25, at present you can't switch. IMO Carrier AGC is much better.
Re: AM AGC
Does this request include carrier-based AM squelch?

No, at the moment I don't plan to add this until 3.1 is released. I'm working on something else at the moment and am trying to keep Q4 2020 clear for some experimental UI coding.
