Mentioned before, but thought this ought to be a new request.
Binaural results are better with IF bandwidth greater than about 2 kHz, so asymmetric passbands are not the ideal way to get rid of heterodynes from adjacent channel carriers (say, 1, 2 or 3 kHz away). My Gnu demonstrator provided a tuneable notch that helped a lot with this. Would you be able to do anything similar?
