XO retrofit with TCXO?

The #1 thing that annoys me about my RX-888 is the reference oscillator: it is far more drifty than any of my other SDRs. Has anyone thought about swapping out the 27 MHz reference for something a little more stable? Digi-Key has some 0.5 ppm 27 MHz TCXOs as cheap as $2 in single quantities, but I don't know if they're electrically & footprint compatible with the RX-888.
